Two companies based in San Francisco are planning to sell the carbon offset credits by scattering iron in the Pacific Ocean. According to the recent reports by Boston Globe, it has come out that several experiments that have been conducted in the last few years to check the plankton emission of greenhouse gases but none have been successful.
